Description

  • Partner with account executives across the full sales cycle, from discovery and demos through POC trials and proposal support, to help close business.
  • Conduct deep technical discovery to understand customer architectures, workflows, and business objectives, then map needs to appropriate solutions.
  • Design and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements for executive and engineering audiences.
  • Act as the customer’s internal champion by collaborating with Product, Marketing, Support, and Professional Services.
  • Evaluate customer environments and provide guidance on solution fit, implementation approach, risk tradeoffs, and compliance considerations.
  • Contribute to the technical community through conference sessions, webinars, blog posts, and open source engagement.
  • Support lead generation and pipeline development with territory managers, including trade show participation and introductory technical sessions.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between prospective customers and internal product, marketing, and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent, with 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, professional services delivery, or technical support leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and/or C/C++ enterprise development.
  • Comfort reasoning about performance, build toolchains, debugging complex systems, and build acceleration tools such as JRebel.
  • Strong Linux background with understanding of the enterprise Linux ecosystem, including RHEL, Rocky, Debian, and SLES.
  • Experience with open source software adoption and support, including active community participation through code, documentation, or presentations.
  • Familiarity with CNCF technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Vault, plus middleware stacks such as Tomcat, ActiveMQ, and Apache Camel.
  • Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or similar environments, including cloud-native architecture and hybrid/bare-metal tradeoffs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform, and Nexus/Artifactory.
  • Proficiency with containerization and virtualization technologies at scale, including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Vagrant, KVM/QEMU, and Proxmox.
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to mixed audiences, with solid demo skills, written communication, and experience authoring technical proposals or RFP responses.
  • A genuine passion for helping developers succeed, with awareness of AI-assisted development workflows and the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies while working across time zones in a distributed team.
  • Experience with HPC, scientific computing, or performance engineering is a meaningful differentiator.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra, with practical experience preferred.
  • AI fluency appropriate to the role, including responsible use of AI tools and adherence to company AI governance and security standards.
