Description

  • Partner with the sales team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of the solution.
  • Own the technical aspects of sales opportunities and support current customers in understanding Chainguard’s value.
  • Assess prospect technical requirements and map Chainguard products to unmet customer needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with decision-makers across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Negotiate competing stakeholder needs during the sales process.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and lead POVs/POCs.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs to support deal progress.
  • Partner with engineering on requested features and product feedback.
  • Participate in webinars, meetups, conferences, and other marketing initiatives when applicable.
  • Focus on acquiring new customer logos while growing the existing customer base.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience selling into enterprise and mid-market prospects.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Serverless, and Docker.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with cloud security, container security, or application security.
  • Startup experience.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and build credibility with customers.
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to help and mentor peers.
  • Must be located in New York.
