Description

  • Drive the long-term Sales & Marketing roadmap and advise senior leadership on strategy and priorities.
  • Lead team development by coaching staff, identifying training needs, and holding team members accountable.
  • Own the company’s messaging and positioning and ensure consistent communication across campaigns and teams.
  • Create campaigns and support customer-focused messaging that resonates with target clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity and translate findings into recommendations for the business.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and communication loops with other departments.
  • Develop systems to execute, report on, learn from, and iterate on sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee process improvement, technology adoption, resource allocation, and team capability building.
  • Support new client revenue growth, lead generation, and improved marketing efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize sales and marketing efforts in a bootstrapped, data-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience in an in-house or agency role.
  • Experience leading or managing a team.
  • Expertise in pipeline development and helping teams hit sales targets.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, demand generation, and supporting a sales team.
  • Proven track record of implementing strategies to meet revenue generation targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Experience with productized services or, preferably, the sales tax industry.
  • Experience using a data-driven approach to optimize sales and marketing performance.
  • Experience managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
  • Willingness to arrange reference calls with three former managers before hiring.
  • Strong alignment with TaxValet’s core values and comfort working proactively, collaboratively, and with ambiguity.

Benefits

  • Base salary of 1,650,000 ZAR per year.
  • Bonus structure tied to new client revenue generation.
  • 43 days off per year, including 22 holidays and 21 PTO days.
  • 3 additional volunteer days per year for a nonprofit of your choice.
  • 100% remote work with core hours of 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM SAST.
  • Eligibility for the company profit-sharing program after one year, subject to passing a financial literacy quiz.
