Description

  • Own and continuously improve test automation frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, integration, regression, smoke, and release validation tests.
  • Support quality across PitchBook.com, the custom website platform, and the Brightspot CMS migration.
  • Design automation strategies for CMS functionality, marketing pages, lead generation flows, and system integrations.
  • Identify automation gaps, eliminate flaky tests, and improve release confidence.
  • Investigate and debug issues across UI, backend services, APIs, databases, CMS, and distributed systems.
  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to improve testability and reduce delivery risks.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure stable automated test execution.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, engineering discussions, release activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of quality outcomes and help the team build quality into the delivery process.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in SDET, Test Automation, or Automation QA roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Java 11+ with a good understanding of OOP, clean code, debugging, and software engineering practices.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks from scratch or by extending existing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Experience with API testing and automation, including REST, JSON, HTTP, and tools or libraries such as REST Assured.
  • Strong understanding of test strategy, release validation, quality risk assessment, and test planning.
  • Experience investigating and debugging issues across UI, backend services, APIs, databases, logs, and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with SQL, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with web application testing, including responsive behavior, cross-browser compatibility, and frontend/backend integration points.
  • Understanding of microservices concepts and distributed system testing challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for code generation, test creation, code review, documentation, or productivity improvements.
  • English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
  • Fluent Ukrainian.
  • Experience testing CMS-based platforms, preferably Brightspot or other Java-based CMS solutions.
  • Experience testing marketing websites, content-rich platforms, or SEO-sensitive pages.
  • Familiarity with SEO, accessibility, analytics, and tracking validation.
  • Experience with visual regression, performance, or load testing.
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, SNS, or SQS.
  • Experience with contract testing or integration testing in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
  • Experience mentoring QA engineers or driving test automation best practices.
