Description

  • Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  • Generate pipeline through outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Assess merchants' current fulfillment methods and determine fit for ShipBob's business model.
  • Schedule demos and qualified meetings with potential merchants and Account Executives.
  • Track merchant interactions and activity accurately in the designated CRM or tracking system.
  • Meet or exceed daily outbound activity targets and monthly quota expectations.
  • Report to the manager or team lead to review progress and refine prospecting strategies.
  • Recommend merchants that do not fit the standard model to management.
  • Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; internships or coursework in sales or business development is a plus.
  • Experience selling over the phone and calling businesses or merchants is a plus.
  • Demonstrated diligence and accountability.
  • Comfort with a competitive environment and evidence of personal ambition.
  • Relentless persistence in the face of daily rejection and delays.
  • Aptitude for research and understanding data.
  • Ability to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm CST at 120 N Racine Ave #100, Chicago, IL 60607.
  • Ability to transition to fully remote after 12 months if in good standing.
  • Interest in developing sales skills through onboarding, product training, and CRM tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and 6Sense.
