Description

  • Manage multiple engineering teams and influence cross-technical and business decisions.
  • Align engineering execution with company-wide goals and the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to identify dependencies and ensure strategic initiatives are delivered.
  • Drive process improvements to improve efficiency, scalability, and business outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives and resolve team obstacles.
  • Provide technical direction for architectural decisions across internal and customer-facing systems.
  • Drive proactive resolution of high-priority technical issues and coordinate escalations across teams.
  • Manage technical risks, including backup, failover, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • 5 years of experience scaling distributed systems and cloud-based platforms.
  • 5 years of experience with cloud technologies including AWS (S3, SNS, SES, API Gateway), Kubernetes, and ArgoCD.
  • 5 years of experience working in Python, Ruby, Node, PHP, and .Net.
  • 5 years of experience applying software development lifecycle, DevOps, security, and compliance best practices.
  • 5 years of experience planning and executing software platform changes with minimal disruption to clients and ongoing activity.
  • 5 years of experience using queue mechanisms including RabbitMQ, SQS, and Kafka.
  • 5 years of experience analyzing, assessing, and communicating software implementation options across different IT environments.
  • 5 years of experience with databases including Postgres, DynamoDB, and MySQL.
  • 5 years of experience using tools including Datadog, Logstash, ElasticSearch, Docker, and Redis.
  • Experience designing and executing plans for software installations.
  • Experience using and monitoring software distribution channels, techniques, and auto-recovery tools.
  • Experience integrating and communicating across applications, databases, and platforms.

Benefits

  • Telecommuting is optional, subject to the company hybrid work policy.
  • May work from any location within normal commuting distance.
  • Salary range of $242,000 to $292,000 per year.
