Description

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of BAYADA’s enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, transformation, governance, and observability.
  • Modernize legacy data warehouses and BI environments through cloud-first and Lakehouse-based platforms.
  • Design, scale, and manage reliable enterprise data integration and pipeline frameworks.
  • Advance Lakehouse, streaming and batch ingestion, DataOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Oversee data quality, observability, lineage, security, compliance, and platform risk management programs.
  • Deliver governed, trustworthy data foundations for AI, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, application engineering, analytics, product, and business teams.
  • Advise executive leadership on data investments, risks, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities.
  • Build and develop a high-performing, inclusive data engineering organization, including teams of 30 or more.
  • Manage budgets, personnel, vendors, service-level agreements, and performance metrics for data engineering operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 20 years of progressive experience leading and transforming data engineering and analytics teams in a growth-oriented environment.
  • 5 years of experience with enterprise data platforms, Lakehouse and cloud-native architectures, and large-scale engineering programs.
  • Experience leading and building data engineering teams of 30 or more people.
  • Expertise in software development, IT infrastructure, data architecture, emerging technologies, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience migrating cloud data platforms, modernizing legacy data warehouses and BI systems, and developing large-scale ingestion solutions.
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS, Apache Spark, dbt, Airflow, SQL, and Python; ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Experience implementing engineering automation, AI-based engineering capabilities, and automation across multicloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of secure data engineering, agile methodologies, HIPAA, HITECH, and the NIST framework.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills; relevant AWS, Databricks, CDMP, or PMP certifications preferred.
