Description

  • Make design and technical implementation decisions with the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to define requirements and deliver reliable, extensible operations applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain sustainable full-stack software applications and services.
  • Improve development processes, procedures, and engineering best practices.
  • Work with Protected Health Information (PHI) in paper and electronic systems while following privacy and security requirements.
  • Complete and maintain required HIPAA/PHI, policy compliance, and security training.
  • Maintain current compliance with Natera training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a comparable program, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with Java, object-oriented programming, web services such as REST, and relational databases.
  • Experience with Spring Boot or Spring Framework and Hibernate preferred.
  • Front-end development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, REST API design, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience with workflow and messaging technologies such as Temporal, Kafka, and Confluent Schema Registry preferred.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git/GitLab, automated testing, and tools such as JUnit 5 and Testcontainers.
  • Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills; commitment to diversity in engineering.
  • Healthcare IT experience is beneficial but not required; must pass a post-offer criminal background check.
