Description

  • Own a core platform area end-to-end, including architecture, reliability, and roadmap.
  • Drive technical initiatives from requirements and design through implementation, production rollout, and operations.
  • Define requirements, assumptions, and next steps in ambiguous situations.
  • Design and evolve platform architecture for reliability, scale, and integration.
  • Support developers with deployments, monitoring, build troubleshooting, and observability tooling.
  • Automate repetitive operations, provisioning, and maintenance.
  • Investigate production incidents, lead resolution, and run post-mortems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and improve on-call practices.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers through reviews, discussions, and pairing.
  • Use AI tools in daily research, troubleshooting, and development work.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE, or in closely related responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of owning technical initiatives end-to-end from requirements to production delivery.
  • Strong Linux skills; Ubuntu is used in the environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Prometheus stack, including metric types, exporters, and alerting.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, including pipeline design, build orchestration, and artifact delivery.
  • Experience with Docker, image building, and container registries.
  • Experience with Ansible and Git.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation and observability.
  • Production and on-call experience, including incident diagnosis, service restoration, and post-mortems.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Solid hands-on experience in two or more of the following: VictoriaMetrics/Prometheus at scale, log pipelines at scale, Jenkins scripted pipelines, container registries and artifact management, Kubernetes operations with Helm, or Grafana at scale.
  • Preferred experience with analytics and data science platforms, remote development environments, bare-metal Kubernetes, Flux/GitOps, Terraform, self-hosted Sentry, ClickHouse, or MongoDB.
