Description

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of business growth opportunities in the live entertainment sector.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across festival, fair, music venue, and promoter categories.
  • Create and implement growth strategies for the music vertical through lead generation and relationship building.
  • Manage financial deal models, proposals, and contract negotiations for new partnerships and renewals.
  • Optimize sales channels and contribute to growth of the festival vertical and related business lines.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and update pipeline opportunities to support process optimization.
  • Represent AXS at industry events, trade shows, and strategic meetings with prospects and external partners.
  • Support business development leadership with strategic tasks, pitch decks, meetings, proposals, and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the business development review board and festival and greenfield business unit to refine revenue growth processes.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential partners and coordinate pitch meetings that advance business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year BA/BS) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in business development and ticketing or live entertainment.
  • Strong experience identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions.
  • Strong experience negotiating and executing contracts.
  • Experience evolving sales tools, presentations, and messaging to align with market trends.
  • Experience representing a company at industry events and trade shows, with the ability to network and generate leads.
  • Proven understanding of the sales cycle and the needs of a sales organization.
  • Passion for the live event industry, including music festivals, themed attractions, sporting events, and artist tours.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams and all levels of an organization, including leadership.
  • Proactive, self-starting, highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of business software and marketing/design technology, including Slack, G-Suite, Notion, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Track record of optimizing sales processes and CRM maintenance.

  • Pay scale of $105,000-$110,000.
  • Eligible for bonus and commission under the current plan.
