Description

  • Ensure product usage data is accurately captured, transformed, and monetized across internal systems.
  • Work on architectural decisions as the team transitions data pipelines.
  • Build and maintain reliable data ingestion, transformation, and availability using AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and related ETL/data lake tooling.
  • Apply modern architecture patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design to a Laravel v11+ codebase.
  • Integrate and maintain connections between internal systems and third-party platforms such as billing, CRM, and payment providers.
  • Maintain and evolve customer-facing account management interfaces built with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with remote teammates across time zones using video calls and async communication.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize mature systems, reduce complexity, and execute improvements pragmatically.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and data modeling.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST API integrations with third-party platforms.
  • Skilled with front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Experience inheriting legacy systems, assessing technical debt, and implementing pragmatic improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain tradeoffs and build consensus.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working on a geographically distributed team.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code (preferred).
  • Experience with CPQ/billing platforms such as Zuora (preferred).
  • Experience integrating with CRM/CPQ platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce (preferred).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, or Kanban methodologies (preferred).
