Description

  • Identify and automate manual, repetitive operational workflows across development, infrastructure, deployment, and security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure as code and reusable infrastructure modules.
  • Manage and troubleshoot AWS services across compute, networking, storage, IAM, and databases.
  • Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, including testing, security scanning, artifact management, and deployments.
  • Develop reusable pipeline patterns, shared libraries, automation tools, templates, and scripts.
  • Use AI coding agents to implement automation solutions and review AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and architectural consistency.
  • Investigate production incidents and pipeline failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, operational runbooks, and system reliability.
  • Integrate secure-by-design practices, secrets management, policy-as-code, and compliance controls into delivery workflows.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering, product, security, and operations teams on standards, tool improvements, and migrations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and supporting production SaaS applications or platforms.
  • 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Production Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation, CDK, or similar tools.
  • Experience owning production CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.
  • Knowledge of public-cloud architecture, containerization, serverless computing, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or a comparable programming language.
  • Strong system design and distributed-systems knowledge, including failure handling, state management, idempotency, and reliability.
  • Experience using AI coding agents, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows, with the ability to validate generated outputs and manage AI security risks.
  • Strong production troubleshooting, analytical, written communication, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience; ability to work across time zones and attend late-evening meetings; U.S. work authorization and commuting distance to San Jose, CA, or Albuquerque, NM, are required.
