Description

Design sustainable infrastructure, microservice solutions, and robust production environments with engineering teams.
Operate and maintain core Google Cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, databases, and cloud services.
Automate infrastructure and operational tools to reduce manual work.
Independently deliver maintenance and project work from specification through production.
Monitor applications, configure alerts, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Review infrastructure and application design proposals, validating performance and availability.
Support developers with infrastructure needs and contribute to core components such as logging or authorization.
Manage infrastructure with security, high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency in mind.

Requirements

At least 3 years of production experience operating Kubernetes, including 24x7 production environments.
Experience with public cloud platforms; GCP is preferred, with AWS or Azure accepted.
Understanding of infrastructure as code and trade-offs between cloud-managed and self-hosted solutions.
Ability to read, review, validate, and when needed develop Python or Go tooling, including AI-generated code.
Hands-on Kubernetes configuration experience, including security contexts, network policies, RBAC, affinity, disruption budgets, priority classes, and node taints.
Experience optimizing Kubernetes resources through requests and limits, HPAs, or VPAs.
Experience managing and upgrading Kubernetes clusters without disrupting live applications.
Experience writing Terraform modules with multiple interconnected resources.
Experience with monitoring and alerting; Grafana, Prometheus, and on-call experience are preferred.
Experience with Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, Docker, CI/CD, and configuration management; onboarding or training team members is preferred.

Benefits

Base salary range of €41,600–€52,000, based on location, experience, qualifications, and other factors.
Flexible working hours and virtual-first work, with remote work or offices in Bratislava, Brno, and Prague.
