Description

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand high-level requirements and identify technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and support software components for cross-domain security systems.
  • Investigate technologies and assess their applicability to project needs.
  • Develop high-quality code and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Create automated tests, including unit, acceptance, and performance tests.
  • Build deployment code and pipelines in consultation with DevOps specialists.
  • Analyse and resolve third-line support issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, estimation, and planning activities.

Requirements

  • Experience developing software with Java and related technologies.
  • Experience working in agile development environments, including TDD, BDD, continuous delivery, DevOps, pair programming, estimation, and planning.
  • Experience with technologies such as Java, C++, Spring Boot, AWS, REST APIs, Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and AWS SQS/SNS.
  • Exposure to Python, JavaScript, Golang, or Bash scripting is useful.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Docker Compose/Swarm, Terraform, Ansible, or C++ is desirable.
  • Eligibility for BPSS clearance and compliance with UK Government residency and right-to-work requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete the required security screening and clearance process.
  • Open, honest, and positive approach to teamwork.
