Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop a field-based business and clinical outreach team.
  • Hire and retain top talent within the assigned region.
  • Develop and execute marketing and business development plans with facilities to attract and serve clients.
  • Identify decision-makers in target markets and build relationships within the behavioral healthcare community.
  • Conduct quarterly field sessions with Business/Clinical Outreach team members to drive performance and skill development.
  • Meet face-to-face with decision-makers to understand needs and remove barriers to ongoing partnerships.
  • Negotiate and secure partnerships with referral relations and discharge planning teams.
  • Partner with leadership to onboard, train, and develop team members.
  • Customize messaging and present services to target audiences and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as an escalation point for facility or client service issues and integrate work with operations, clinical, and admissions leadership.
  • Manage administrative duties, team budget, performance tracking, communication, and documentation.
  • Meet monthly business development goals and stay current on industry trends and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • BS/BA in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of director-level leadership experience in a large, complex hospital or regional health system preferred.
  • 8+ years of healthcare experience, with direct management of a field sales team preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing, sales, market expansion, and health plan operations.
  • Strong sales acumen, including strategy development, costing, and value articulation.
  • Experience managing CRM tools, preferably Salesforce, to segment markets, track activities, and manage sales pipelines.
  • Ability to interact with clients and clearly communicate a value proposition.
  • Experience in direct sales and operations is a plus.
  • Experience with eating disorder, mental health, or behavioral health populations strongly preferred.
  • Experience with case management, patient bed management, patient experience, and inpatient, residential, or lower-level care settings preferred.

  • Salary range of $180,000 to $205,000, with final compensation based on qualifications and experience.
