Description

  • Own consultant influence and pipeline outcomes for the Southwest Territory by building and executing a territory plan tied to revenue goals.
  • Develop senior relationships across major benefits consulting and brokerage firms to increase Sword’s preference, inclusion in evaluations, and participation in RFPs.
  • Map and expand office-level coverage by cultivating practice leaders, subject matter experts, producers, and regional influencers within priority firms.
  • Enable consultants to confidently position Sword through meetings, demos, lunch & learns, email campaigns, and other consultant-facing touchpoints.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to support active opportunities, align strategies to account priorities, and maintain consistent buyer-stage messaging.
  • Drive consultant program participation and executive alignment through vendor programs, executive meetings, and joint growth discussions.
  • Plan and execute targeted market events and strategic touchpoints, including office visits, executive sessions, and regional gatherings.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM tracking, forecasting accuracy, data hygiene, and attribution of relationship activity and outcomes.
  • Track consultant engagement and influence to ensure measurable business outcomes and pipeline creation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working with major benefits consulting and/or brokerage firms such as WTW, Aon, Mercer, Lockton, Gallagher, USI, HUB, or MMA.
  • Strong understanding of how consultants influence employer purchasing decisions.
  • Proven ability to build influential relationships that translate into referrals, pipeline, and evaluation inclusion.
  • Strong business development experience, including prospecting, multi-threading relationships, and expanding presence across offices and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead compelling meetings with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a metrics-driven, revenue-accountable role with territory planning, pipeline tracking, and forecast hygiene.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM for contacts, opportunities, reporting, and data quality management.
  • Self-starter mindset with high ownership, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate at least Level 1 AI fluency, with real examples of using AI in day-to-day work.
  • Legal right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
