Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with consumer technology companies and device manufacturers to support battery collection and recycling partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for consumer technology partnerships and manage accounts from initial engagement through long-term execution.
  • Manage the product qualification process for customer battery recycling needs and coordinate timelines and expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the business is on track by balancing partnership mix, customer expectations, and profitable battery material procurement.
  • Identify future growth opportunities by understanding customer product roadmaps, sustainability programs, and market priorities.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms, including volume, pricing, and other terms and conditions.
  • Own business development and operational oversight for Redwood’s Battery Bin program, including pipeline development, outreach, proposals, contracting, and expansion planning.
  • Identify and develop Battery Bin host partners such as retailers, municipalities, universities, nonprofits, and public agencies.
  • Develop partnership models and partner-facing materials such as pitch decks, implementation guides, FAQs, and related collateral.
  • Track and report performance across partnerships and Battery Bin sites to improve targeting, efficiency, and program economics.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, logistics, legal, policy, communications, and compliance teams.
  • Travel up to 25% for meetings, site visits, tours, and program launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sustainability, engineering, or a related field; technical background is a plus.
  • More than 10 years of sales, business development, or technical sales experience.
  • Strong preference for experience in consumer electronics or the lithium-ion battery industry.
  • Direct experience working with or at companies that manufacture, assemble, sell, or repair consumer devices.
  • Deep understanding of consumer technology product lifecycles, sustainability initiatives, and circular economy programs.
  • Experience building and scaling partner programs, channel programs, or distributed collection and deployment networks.
  • Fluent in English for global communication and account management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships, including in difficult or complex situations.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and using performance data to improve strategy and operations.
  • Smart, scrappy, entrepreneurial, science-loving, and action-oriented with strong grit.
  • Ability to travel 25% when necessary.
  • Full-time availability.
