Description

  • Participate in the full software development life cycle from design and development through deployment and maintenance.
  • Own projects end to end, including infrastructure, application tiers, and data tiers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define requirements and implement solutions.
  • Translate requirements, estimate effort, and identify or escalate blockers.
  • Contribute to the product and technical roadmap with data-driven insights and trade-off analysis.
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Implement comprehensive testing and performance tuning to improve stability and uptime.
  • Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements or refactors.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
  • Work closely with a global engineering and product team to build a stable, high-performance platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and building and maintaining big data pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile environments, ideally Scrum, with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Spark.
  • Experience with strongly typed languages, preferably Java or Scala.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.
  • Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests based on acceptance criteria.
  • Proficiency with Git and other version control tools for collaborative development.
  • Strong understanding of scalable, high-performance back-end systems optimized for low latency and high throughput (preferred).
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data and formats such as flat files, XML, JSON, relational, and parquet (preferred).
  • Experience with functional programming languages, preferably Scala, and/or cybersecurity experience (preferred).
