Description

Participate in the full software development life cycle from design and development through deployment and maintenance.
Own projects end to end, including infrastructure, application tiers, and data tiers.
Collaborate with Product Managers to define requirements and implement solutions.
Translate requirements, estimate effort, and identify or escalate blockers.
Contribute to the product and technical roadmap with data-driven insights and trade-off analysis.
Write clean, maintainable, secure, testable, and well-documented code.
Implement comprehensive testing and performance tuning to improve stability and uptime.
Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements or refactors.
Support and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
Work closely with a global engineering and product team to build a stable, high-performance platform.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering and building and maintaining big data pipelines.
3+ years of experience working in agile environments, ideally Scrum, with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Spark.
Experience with strongly typed languages, preferably Java or Scala.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.
Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests based on acceptance criteria.
Proficiency with Git and other version control tools for collaborative development.
Strong understanding of scalable, high-performance back-end systems optimized for low latency and high throughput (preferred).
Experience working with structured and unstructured data and formats such as flat files, XML, JSON, relational, and parquet (preferred).
Experience with functional programming languages, preferably Scala, and/or cybersecurity experience (preferred).
