Description

  • Participate in the full software development life cycle from design and development through deployment and maintenance.
  • Own projects end-to-end and collaborate with Product Managers to define requirements and implement solutions.
  • Translate requirements into estimates, identify blockers, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Contribute technical insights to improve system performance, stability, and user experience.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
  • Work with a global team of engineers and product managers to build a stable, high-performance platform.
  • Implement testing and performance tuning to improve system stability and uptime.
  • Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements or refactors.
  • Contribute to the product and technical roadmap by evaluating trade-offs between technical options and business goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining big data pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile environments, ideally Scrum, with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Spark.
  • Experience with strongly typed languages, preferably Java or Scala.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.
  • Experience participating in code reviews to maintain best practices and improve code quality.
  • Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests based on acceptance criteria.
  • Proficiency with version control tools, particularly Git.
  • Experience with scalable, high-performance back-end systems, preferably optimized for low latency and high throughput.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data and formats such as flat files, XML, JSON, relational, and Parquet.
  • Experience with functional programming languages, preferably Scala.
  • Experience in cybersecurity is preferred.
