Description

  • Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of modern data platforms.
  • Shape client data strategy and design scalable solutions.
  • Lead implementation from initial design through production.
  • Partner with client stakeholders on requirements, solution design, and executive updates.
  • Advise clients on architecture, scalability, and platform evolution.
  • Mentor team members and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Identify and resolve blockers while balancing technology choices, deadlines, and business outcomes.
  • Lead retrospectives, feedback conversations, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Document outcomes, drive action items, and contribute to team culture and hiring efforts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience and 7+ years in data engineering, with progression into technical leadership and architectural ownership.
  • Deep expertise in Databricks and modern lakehouse architecture, including Delta Lake and Spark.
  • Advanced SQL and Python experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data services, and infrastructure design.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, distributed data processing, orchestration tools, and transformation frameworks.
  • Experience with healthcare data, including Epic, HL7, FHIR, and claims.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
  • Preferred: platform engineering and reusable data foundations.
  • Preferred: streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub; production agentic systems, RAG, vector search, or MLOps.
