Description

  • Build and operate streaming, polling, and batch ingestion pipelines for telematics provider integrations.
  • Normalize inconsistent provider payloads into canonical vehicle, driver, hours-of-service, and fuel data models.
  • Design storage and query patterns for high-volume time-series vehicle data serving real-time APIs and analytics.
  • Deliver customer-facing data products, including stop and geofence detection, ETAs, location aggregates, and IFTA-grade mileage.
  • Build and maintain idempotent write-back workflows for fuel transactions, DVIR status, and dispatch data.
  • Monitor data freshness, completeness, provider health, and schema drift to identify upstream issues.
  • Own end-to-end data quality and prevent silently incorrect data from reaching customers.
  • Work directly with customer engineering teams to resolve data questions and integration issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines or backend data services.
  • Strong Python experience and ability to own services end to end.
  • Solid SQL and relational data-modeling knowledge, including partitioning, indexing, and query cost.
  • Experience with streaming or event-driven ingestion and unreliable third-party APIs.
  • Cloud-native experience with AWS.
  • Experience debugging incorrect pipeline output and implementing data-quality safeguards.
  • Clear written communication skills for a remote, async-first environment.
  • Experience with telematics, IoT, logistics, fintech, or insurance data is preferred.
  • Experience with time-series or geospatial data at scale, such as geofencing, map matching, trip inference, or H3 indexing, is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-tenant data delivery, Snowflake shares, SOC 2 environments, or many third-party API integrations is preferred.
