Description

  • Design, build, and deliver Scality products and third-party solutions to customers.
  • Provide integration, consulting, training, post-sales professional services, and delivery support.
  • Participate in the European on-call rotation and support work outside standard business hours when required.
  • Coordinate customer and internal interactions for accounts with extended services.
  • Work with the product organization to communicate customer needs and feature requests.
  • Create, update, and maintain technical and business documentation after changes.
  • Lead customer delivery as the primary point of contact for project quality, timelines, and accountability.
  • Analyze issues with customers, validate problems, and drive effective solutions and action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project delivery and customer success.
  • Share knowledge through documentation, coaching, and cross-team support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Linux/UNIX system administration experience in large-scale distributed environments.
  • Strong understanding of x86 platforms, RAID architecture, and file systems.
  • Familiarity with NAS, SAN, distributed file systems, object storage, RESTful APIs, and Amazon S3.
  • Solid grasp of low-level networking, including TCP/IP, bridging, bonding, and VLANs.
  • Experience with distributed systems, load balancing, cloud platforms, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of web servers, backups, email systems, package management, and monitoring in production environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Perl, Shell, SaltStack, or Ansible.
  • Understanding of ITIL Problem and Change Management processes and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven track record in customer-facing professional services delivery or consulting.
  • C/Java development skills are a plus.
  • An additional European language is a plus.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call duties, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work in secure or military environments and pass mandatory background screening.
