Description

  • Manage and sell Renaissance Learning products and services within an assigned territory.
  • Prospect for new business and drive revenue growth to exceed assigned goals.
  • Lead renewal, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities across the customer base.
  • Serve as the primary account contact to build customer loyalty and retention.
  • Develop consultative solutions aligned to customer needs and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Account Executives, and internal/external partners to close business.
  • Engage multiple decision makers throughout the sales cycle to progress opportunities.
  • Apply deep knowledge of the K-12 education market, including districts, schools, funding, and purchasing processes.
  • Maintain strong credibility by delivering on expectations and sharing market insights.
  • Travel for customer engagements, conferences, and other revenue-generating activities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of prior sales experience.
  • Experience in education sales is preferred.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of education customers, organizational structures, and leadership personas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of common tools and trends in the ed tech space.
  • Understanding of the K-12 education landscape, including public, private, and parochial schools.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Candidates are ideally located in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, or Sacramento.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and cannot require visa sponsorship.

  • Base salary range of $82,200 to $113,100.
  • Total target compensation range of $160,000 to $215,000.
