Description

  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and agency stakeholders across the assigned territory.
  • Manage and report a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Develop customer requirements for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services.
  • Travel to client locations and represent the company at symposiums, conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs.
  • Gather and communicate competitive and customer intelligence, including market opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare price quotations and establish credit terms, contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Use CRM and ERP systems to process quotes and orders.
  • Support inside sales with quote entry and identify funding opportunities.
  • Recommend products based on customer needs and assist with product development or improvements when needed.
  • Prepare reports, maintain sales records, and submit expense reports on time.
  • Develop marketing strategies to generate sales leads within the assigned region.
  • Coordinate an inside/outside sales approach for territory strategy, vendor relations, and dealer-of-record management.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative.
  • Established understanding of government sales and federal contracting.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense, military, federal agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Ability to complete work on deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Ability to carry out skillful negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or 5 years of industry experience in place of a degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Proficient in internet searching.
  • NetSuite experience or familiarity with an ERP system is a plus.
