Description

  • Develop and execute grassroots fundraising campaigns aligned with Mozilla Foundation’s mission and organizational fundraising goals.
  • Support planning and execution of the end-of-year fundraising strategy.
  • Pitch ideas to engage Mozilla’s global community and grow the grassroots donor base.
  • Write fundraising content for supporters across email, website, and other channels.
  • Design A/B testing plans, monitor results, and report on learnings and next steps.
  • Analyze engagement metrics to optimize fundraising performance and donor experiences.
  • Move one-time and recurring donors toward deeper engagement and higher levels of support.
  • Re-engage lapsed donors and encourage renewals.
  • Collaborate within the Development team and with Tech Platforms on supporter and donor experience improvements.
  • Support non-fundraising mobilization initiatives, email calendaring, quality assurance, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of digital fundraising experience or experience working in digital campaigning.
  • Excellent email writing skills and a proven ability to motivate supporters to take action.
  • Experience writing emails for a diverse, global, large-scale email list of 1 million or more subscribers.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experiment write-ups, and campaign optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop online donor recruitment strategies using donor data, supporter insights, nonprofit fundraising trends, and organizational priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze complex technical and political issues and turn them into fundraising opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, oral, written, and social communication skills in English.
  • Strong familiarity with CRM and campaigning tools such as Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, or ActionKit.
  • Experience managing larger cross-team projects, including projects involving technical staff.
  • Experience working successfully in a remote capacity with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent data analysis, project management, organizational, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • English copywriting skills that adapt to an organization’s voice and tone and inspire donations.
  • Additional experience with nonprofit organizations focused on internet rights or consumer rights is preferred.
  • Additional experience with automated email campaigns that increase donor engagement and giving is preferred.
  • Additional experience collaborating with technical teams to improve personalized donor experiences is preferred.
