Description

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Marqeta and existing bank issuing partners.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with bank partners and regularly communicate to understand their needs.
  • Work with bank partners and internal product teams to launch new products and features.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs remain compliant with bank requirements.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage commercial agreements to optimize financial terms and reduce risk.
  • Oversee day-to-day partnership operations, including invoice validation, audit coordination, and customer service or regulatory escalations.
  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs to monitor bank partnership performance.
  • Support incremental program growth and manage some of Marqeta’s largest and most strategic account relationships.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, partnership management, business development, or a similar field.
  • Direct FinTech experience or experience managing bank-sponsored card products for program managers is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience leading strategic partnerships at a senior level.
  • Extensive negotiation experience in commercial agreements and financial optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of Visa and MasterCard rules.
  • Ability to develop and execute complex, long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Comfort working with senior leadership and influencing stakeholders to drive an agenda.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Jira or a similar ticketing system, Blee or other content management systems, Salesforce or similar CRM/CMS tools, and Looker or other data tools is a plus.
  • Experience redesigning operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness is a plus.

  • Base salary range of $151,900-$189,900 for National, $164,400-$205,500 for Premium, and $178,700-$223,400 for Premium Plus locations.
