Description

  • Partner with account executives and the global sales organization to support technical sales cycles and drive deals to close.
  • Engage prospects to uncover complex business and technical pain points and map platform capabilities to use cases.
  • Support channel sales efforts across ISVs, vendors, and consultancies.
  • Lead discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to design solution architectures for on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Deliver tailored product demos and explain distributed systems concepts such as caching, partitioning, replication, persistence, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Plan, manage, and execute complex proof-of-concept engagements with defined success criteria.
  • Support performance testing, troubleshooting, sizing, configuration tuning, and competitive evaluations.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and architecture reviews.
  • Create and standardize reusable sales engineering content, including demos, architectural diagrams, workflows, white papers, and presentations.
  • Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on senior sales engineer or pre-sales experience in enterprise technology.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, from developers and architects to CIOs, CTOs, and CXOs.
  • Direct experience with in-memory data grids or distributed caching platforms such as Apache Ignite, Redis, Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, or GemFire.
  • Foundational knowledge of distributed systems, caching, databases, middleware, or data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with an enterprise language such as Java, .NET, or Python.
  • Experience with web stack technologies, Linux, networking, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of Banking and Financial Services, including payments, risk management, fraud detection, and AML.
  • Experience working 100% remotely and willingness to travel regionally across EMEA and work off-hours when needed.
  • Exceptional presentation, whiteboarding, troubleshooting, written communication, and personal organization skills.
  • Preferred: knowledge of SQL, JDBC/ODBC, Spring, Kafka, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Preferred: background in low-latency or high-throughput systems.
  • Preferred: experience in pre-sales for OSS, SaaS, managed services, or public cloud engineering environments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, or Datadog and security frameworks such as TLS, authentication, and authorization.
  • Preferred: vertical industry knowledge in Telecom, Retail, Logistics, or Real-Time Analytics.
  • Preferred: history of public speaking, conference presentations, or writing technical blogs and articles.
