Description

  • Generate quotes, track opportunities, and process orders using Salesforce.com.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Suggest pricing and payment solutions that balance customer needs with company pricing policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, outside sales executives, accounting, and contracts teams.
  • Maintain product, industry, vendor, and service knowledge to support sales efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers.
  • Participate in regional forecast calls and perform pipeline analysis to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating regional marketing events, including sponsorships, invites, and venue arrangements.
  • Support both new business and renewal business in a quota-bearing environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and tight deadlines while streamlining processes with other teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer service or sales support role.
  • Background in the IT industry preferred.
  • Prior experience with CRM software required; Salesforce.com experience preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
  • Technical sales/support and outbound calling experience preferred.
  • Strong prioritization, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and solid math skills for calculating margins, discounts, and percentages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work well on a team and adapt to ambiguity.
  • Open to constructive feedback and able to apply it to improve results.
  • Good judgment in analyzing information to make business decisions.
