Description

  • Manage end-to-end machine learning projects from problem definition through solution design, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Work with data engineers to build datasets, define data requirements, and assess feasibility, risks, and constraints.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to design A/B tests, define metrics and splits, interpret results, and recommend deployment decisions.
  • Develop and train classical machine learning and deep learning models, including solutions for text and image embeddings.
  • Perform offline evaluation and error analysis to assess model performance.
  • Deploy models and production code as Python services and support releases and integrations.
  • Own model quality after launch, including metrics, monitoring, drift detection, degradation tracking, and improvement plans.
  • Support operational procedures for production models and ensure ongoing reliability.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with specific experience in pricing tasks.
  • Experience managing end-to-end ML projects in production from setup through support.
  • Strong understanding of classical machine learning, including feature engineering, boosting, classification/regression, cross-validation, threshold selection, and calibration.
  • Experience with deep learning using PyTorch or TensorFlow, including fine-tuning principles and model inference.
  • Production-grade Python skills, including readable code, tests for critical components, packaging of models/artifacts, and service integration.
  • Understanding of ML monitoring, including quality metrics, drift, alerts, diagnostics, and support procedures.
  • SQL proficiency sufficient for independent dataset building, including joins and window functions.
  • Experience with model interpretability and error analysis.
  • Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or DVC.
  • Experience with orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster, plus advanced data processing.
  • Conversational English.
