Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable production-ready backend services using Node.js.
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures on AWS with a focus on security, resilience, and scalability.
  • Build and maintain secure, high-performance REST APIs.
  • Implement integrations between applications, internal platforms, and external services.
  • Design distributed solutions for highly available applications.
  • Implement automated deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Configure and manage development, QA, staging, and production environments.
  • Implement observability using CloudWatch, metrics, logs, and monitoring.
  • Design protection strategies using AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and cloud security controls.
  • Participate in technical decisions related to scalability, cost, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support modernization initiatives for legacy applications toward cloud-native architectures.
  • Participate in system design exercises and propose end-to-end solutions for enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing backend applications.
  • Proven experience building production solutions on AWS.
  • Experience designing scalable cloud architectures.
  • Experience implementing REST APIs.
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience participating in technical architecture decisions.
  • Experience working in agile methodologies.
  • Node.js experience preferred.
  • Experience with Python, Java, or equivalent backend technologies.
  • Knowledge of APIs REST, microservices architecture, system integration, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and RBAC.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, S3, CloudFront, ALB, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Secrets Manager, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and VPC.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native, serverless, high-availability, multi-AZ, multi-region, and horizontally scalable architectures.
  • Experience with AWS security, DDoS protection, and communication between microservices.
  • Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, stack modularization, Terraform state management, and IaC best practices.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
  • Experience with Docker and ECS on EC2 and Fargate, including operational and cost differences.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, relational databases, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Preferred experience with React, Next.js, Cognito, CloudFront, high-concurrency applications, system design, legacy migration to AWS, and regulated industries such as banking, fintech, or insurance.
