Description

  • Discuss, plan, build, and test new product features.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to define user experiences.
  • Triage and resolve bugs, including issues reported directly by users.
  • Manage pull-request code reviews while maintaining unit tests and software quality.
  • Help migrate modules into independent microservices.
  • Develop product features serving tens of thousands of customers.
  • Apply learnings from previous experience to develop fintech innovations.
  • Diagnose and resolve underlying technical issues when systems fail.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience developing web applications using modern software engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in Python and Django; Django expertise is required.
  • Experience debugging complex database performance issues.
  • Experience building performant and scalable backend systems and making pragmatic technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong critical-thinking and product-focused problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working at an early-stage startup (preferred).
  • Fintech or accounting experience (preferred).
  • Experience integrating ERP or accounting systems (preferred).
  • Exposure to purchase orders, AWS DevOps, or strong product sense (preferred).
