Description

  • Drive team impact by improving technical productivity and reliability.
  • Cultivate a healthy, results-driven, and collaborative team culture.
  • Represent the team in engineering-wide planning, initiatives, and processes.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to shape the technical roadmap and improve the patient and doctor experience.
  • Set and communicate clear team objectives aligned with company goals and roadmap.
  • Lead hiring, development, and retention efforts to build a high-performing team.
  • Provide technical leadership while balancing execution and people management in a player/coach role.
  • Support engineers with mentorship, guidance, and business context.
  • Lead development projects and help team members grow into leadership roles.

Requirements

  • Technical leadership experience managing teams of 3+ engineers.
  • Strong background in system design.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or Java.
  • Track record of leading development projects while creating opportunities for others to grow into leadership roles.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and making quick, strategic decisions under competing constraints.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex web applications and services.
  • Ability to work across various technical systems and concerns.
  • Experience level and compensation may be influenced by education, work experience, and certifications.
  • Final base salary range for this role is $134,000 to $175,000 CAD.
