Description

  • Lead and grow multiple distributed software engineering teams while fostering trust and psychological safety.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage engineers across levels, including performance management and talent development programs.
  • Own end-to-end delivery and operational excellence for the portfolio, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional leaders to define vision, prioritize roadmaps, and align long-term strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership by setting architectural guardrails and guiding major technical decisions without direct code contribution.
  • Establish and uphold engineering standards, including SLAs/SLOs, security best practices, AI usage, and QA processes.
  • Champion inclusive, async-first collaboration practices across teams working in a wide time zone spread.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours incident resolution and system uptime.

Requirements

  • Extensive software development experience as an individual contributor.
  • Proven track record as an Engineering Manager leading multiple distributed software engineering teams.
  • Strong product sense and experience delivering high-quality results across the full product lifecycle.
  • Ability to dive deep into complex architectural problems and guide senior engineers to sound decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to set technical vision over a 6-12 month horizon.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills in a remote-first environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Track record of hiring and developing senior talent and helping engineers advance their careers.
  • High sense of ownership, humility, and a growth mindset in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus points: experience with Python, TypeScript, and React; experience in B2B SaaS; experience delivering high-performance, data-intensive UIs and robust APIs.
