Description

Own technical decision-making for the engineering team, including making decisions directly or reviewing and approving team decisions.
Lead the team and drive projects forward in a fast-changing agile environment to maximize timely delivery.
Coach and develop team members by assigning progressively challenging work and providing ongoing mentoring.
Build and maintain a psychologically safe organizational culture across the company, not only within the assigned team.
Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to evaluate team performance and support compensation decisions when needed.
Set team priorities and project direction based on customer feedback and marketing data when applicable.

Requirements

Experience managing an engineering team of 5 or more people.
Fluent coding ability in C#, C++, Java, or Rust.
Business-level English proficiency.
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly convey ideas to others.
Passion for creating a psychologically safe work environment.
At least 3 of the following are required: optimizing collaboration and operations through engineering processes or tools; working with leadership on performance reviews and annual bonuses; coaching or mentoring team members; setting priorities based on customer feedback or marketing data; writing technical blogs or speaking publicly to share expertise.
Preferred: a master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred: strong ability to understand both customer and engineer perspectives deeply.
Preferred: business-level or higher Korean communication skills.
