Description

  • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to develop and execute technical strategies for the Banking organization.
  • Influence technical decisions across the organization to drive consistent, sound, and efficient outcomes.
  • Contribute directly to technical designs and remain hands-on with code contributions.
  • Drive cross-cutting architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements to make systems more robust and scalable.
  • Hold the team to high engineering standards and help maintain a high quality bar.
  • Coach and mentor teammates to expand their technical breadth and depth.
  • Foster the growth of aspiring engineers beyond their immediate teams.
  • Apply an AI-first mindset and help raise the bar for AI use across the team.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading large-scale features and delivering projects on time with high quality.
  • Experience identifying, aligning on, and delivering globally optimal solutions in complex systems with many moving parts.
  • Ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong track record of helping other engineers grow.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience with cloud and backend technologies such as AWS, HTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Kafka, microservices, Redis, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Aurora.
  • Experience with tools and frameworks such as OkHttp, Jetty, JUnit, Guice, Hibernate, DataDog, Buildkite, and Gradle.
