Description

  • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to develop and execute technical strategies for the Banking organization.
  • Influence technical decisions across the organization to drive consistent and efficient outcomes.
  • Contribute directly to technical designs and code while staying close to the systems that power the product.
  • Drive cross-cutting architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements to make systems more robust and scalable.
  • Hold yourself and teammates to high engineering standards.
  • Coach and mentor engineers to expand their technical breadth, depth, and scope of influence.
  • Apply an AI-first mindset in day-to-day work and help raise the team’s level of AI usage.
  • Lead large-scale feature delivery planning, execution, and coordination across multiple moving parts.
  • Identify and land globally optimal solutions for complex system problems.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading large-scale features and managing timely delivery with a high-quality bar.
  • Experience identifying, aligning, and landing globally optimal solutions in complex systems.
  • Ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong track record of helping other engineers grow.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with HTTP, JSON, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, Kafka, Hibernate, Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, DataDog, Buildkite, Gradle, OkHttp, Jetty, JUnit, and Guice.
