Description

  • Implement connectors to fetch and store ERP data, and ensure the data is highly available, efficiently stored, secure, and reliable.
  • Own improvements to ERP data systems and related infrastructure.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design technical approaches in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Implement and upgrade backend APIs to meet evolving customer requirements.
  • Maintain and improve existing services through iterative upgrades, deployments, and service governance.
  • Build foundational backend components that strengthen core platform reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with US, Singapore, and China teams across time zones.
  • Support 24/7 systems and contribute to high-availability and self-recoverable architecture efforts.
  • Lead small engineering initiatives and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of overall experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Strong proficiency in one of Python, Golang, or Java, with Python preferred.
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RMQ, or SQS.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, HBase, Redis, or Aerospike.
  • Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture, API gateway patterns, and observability practices such as logging, tracing, and metrics.
  • Experience building systems with strict latency and reliability requirements in 24/7 environments, including 99.99%+ uptime systems and container/VM orchestration platforms.
  • Strong backend experience with modern stacks such as Go, Python, Java, or Node.js, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Strong logic and abstraction skills to structure complex business logic.
  • Strong ownership, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
  • Experience leading small engineering initiatives or mentoring junior developers.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and org-wide strategy to engineers, cross-functional partners, and executives.
  • Preferred: experience with RPC frameworks such as gRPC/Protobuf or Thrift.
  • Preferred: knowledge of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and performance tuning for high-traffic systems.
