Description

  • Lead machine learning engineering execution, including operations, processes, practices, standards, and code quality.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and product management to define roadmaps and deliver AI/ML initiatives.
  • Ensure AI/ML roadmap items are delivered on time and with high quality.
  • Remove blockers, improve team processes, and provide actionable feedback to engineers.
  • Maintain robust AI/ML solutions and documentation, and work closely at the code and design level.
  • Translate technical context for both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Mentor, hire, train, and retain engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and belonging.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML data systems from research and development through deployment and operationalization.
  • Collaborate across departments and locations to align AI/ML work with business goals and strategy.

Requirements

  • M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or data science roles with a machine learning focus.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience with direct management responsibility for at least 5 people.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and delivering large-scale ML models and systems.
  • Natural language processing (NLP) experience is required.
  • Strong experience with Python and ML libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, keras, and PyTorch.
  • Strong SQL knowledge is required.
  • Experience owning machine learning services in a large-scale distributed microservices architecture.
  • Experience with data pipelines and data lake/warehouse technologies such as Apache Kafka, Amazon SNS/SQS/Kinesis, Apache Airflow, Spark, AWS Glue, GCP Cloud Dataflow, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker, and understanding of cloud-scale delivery, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability.
  • Successful delivery of large technical initiatives from scoping to launch with a strong metrics focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • English at Upper Intermediate level or higher; Ukrainian fluency required.
