Description

  • Facilitate discussions and lead decision-making on engineering matters for the team.
  • Define and execute engineering plans for areas under ownership.
  • Drive engineering best practices across the team.
  • Define, implement, and maintain production system hygiene, including engineering and process standards.
  • Own the health and performance of the business area directly supported by the team.
  • Challenge product and business decisions, translate feedback into execution, and own engineering outcomes.
  • Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team.
  • Manage stakeholders across business, product, operations, and external partners or vendors.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of software development experience.
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Proven experience designing and developing solutions from simple to complex.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Track record of building and managing high-performing software development teams.
  • Ability to drive design and architecture across multiple subsystems with senior team members.
  • BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Past experience in startups or fast-paced environments is an added advantage.
