Description

  • Own the full sales cycle for gaming ad sales accounts across Japan and APAC, from prospecting and outreach through negotiation and close.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with game developers, publishers, and advertising agencies in Japan.
  • Identify new business opportunities through existing networks, industry events, and targeted outreach to key accounts.
  • Develop tailored account plans and pitch materials for offerwall, rewarded ads, and performance-based monetization products.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and partner success teams to support campaign delivery and performance.
  • Monitor campaign results and provide client reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations in Japanese and English.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and account records in Salesforce.
  • Represent Xsolla at gaming and ad tech conferences and trade events across Japan and APAC.
  • Provide market intelligence on advertiser trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the Japanese and APAC markets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, ad tech, gaming monetization, or a closely related field in the Japanese market.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a full sales cycle from initial engagement to close.
  • Experience navigating Japan's multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
  • Strong understanding of performance advertising models including CPI, CPA, and CPM.
  • Familiarity with the mobile gaming ecosystem and major Japanese publishers and platforms such as Nintendo, Sony, Bandai Namco, DeNA, GREE, mixi, and LINE Games.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, written and spoken.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with understanding of Japanese business etiquette, including keigo, nemawashi, and ringi processes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, with Salesforce preferred, and standard sales tooling.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Tokyo, Japan, and eligible to work in Japan without visa sponsorship.
  • Experience with offerwall, rewarded video, or user acquisition advertising products in the Japanese mobile gaming space, preferred.
  • Established network within Japan's games industry, including publishers, studios, ad agencies, or platform partners, preferred.
  • Familiarity with mobile game monetization metrics such as ARPU, LTV, ROAS, D7/D30 retention, and Japan-specific monetization trends, preferred.
