Description

  • Prospect, target, and initiate contact with new accounts for new logo acquisition.
  • Educate prospective customers on Thomasnet.com solutions and value proposition.
  • Manage contracts and customer relationships to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Use consultative, solution-based selling to close high-value products and services.
  • Research and identify key decision-makers to start the sales process and win new business opportunities.
  • Maintain proactive, clear communication with clients to support satisfaction with programs and solutions.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to document customer projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide product demos, discuss contract terms, quote prices, and close sales.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new accounts to the account management team.
  • Resolve prospect inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in a strategic business development role with closing experience.
  • B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Extensive prospecting experience with a proven track record of success in business development.
  • Self-starter mindset with an inquisitive approach and ability to sell complex solutions.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and meeting tools such as Zoom, WebEx, or GoToMeeting.
  • Understanding of how technology products, services, and solutions solve business problems.
  • Ability to build a consistent new business revenue pipeline.
  • Commitment and curiosity to stay current with industry trends.
