Description

  • Initiate, identify, prospect, and target new accounts for new logo acquisition.
  • Educate former customer prospects on new Thomasnet.com solutions.
  • Manage contracts and business relationships to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Use consultative, solution-based selling to position the company’s highest-value products and services.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of new accounts to the account management team.
  • Use an extensive database to develop pipelines and close new business programs.
  • Research and target key decision-makers to initiate the sales process and close opportunities.
  • Maintain proactive, clear, and concise communication with clients and accounts on a regular cadence.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to document and track customer projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide product demos, discuss contract terms and pricing, and close sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in a strategic business development role with closing experience.
  • B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Extensive prospecting experience and a proven track record of success in business development roles.
  • Self-starter mindset with an inquisitive approach and ability to sell complex solutions.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom/WebEx/GoToMeeting.
  • Understanding of how technology products and services can solve business problems.
  • Coachability and a growth mindset with willingness to learn from peers and feedback.
  • Ability to build a consistent new business revenue pipeline.
  • Commitment and curiosity to stay current with industry trends.
