Description

  • Own and optimize full-cycle payroll, employee tax, and leave administration operations.
  • Create and execute compliant pay and leave processes in partnership with managers.
  • Provide employee support across Slack, email, verbal communication, and Jira.
  • Drive strategy and resolution for complex multi-state payroll and tax compliance issues.
  • Monitor and process digitally delivered mail from physical offices.
  • Lead pay, tax, and registration projects tied to new state expansion.
  • Own equity administration in Carta.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for employee benefits program support.
  • Perform other pay, tax, and people services duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in People Operations, People Services, or Payroll.
  • 2+ years as the primary payroll point of contact.
  • 1+ years owning or administering employee leaves.
  • Experience owning start-to-finish projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll, employee taxes, pay laws, and leave compliance, including FMLA, ADA, and multi-state PFL.
  • Ability to support employee benefits programs, vendor management, and employee escalations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with time, quality, and detail requirements.
  • Expertise with Google Suite products and experience creating documents and presentations for a professional audience.
  • Passion for learning about behavioral health.
  • Desire to become certified in HR/Payroll.
  • 4 years of experience in a People Operations, People Services, or Payroll role (preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience using Rippling (preferred).
  • Interest in pay and benefits technology (preferred).
  • HR/Payroll certification (preferred).
