Description

  • Provide legal counseling to the channel sales organization on global partner programs, operations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Advise on legal risks related to partner programs, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, third-party risk, anti-trust, and competition law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate partnership and alliance agreements and related program documentation.
  • Handle agreement types including distribution, resale, services delivery, referral, systems integrator, managed services, and cloud marketplace arrangements.
  • Advise internal teams on contract interpretation and negotiation to improve contract velocity.
  • Respond promptly to business teams’ requests for legal advice and translate legal concepts into practical guidance.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard agreements, negotiation playbooks, contract templates, internal policies, and legal processes.
  • Triage a heavy workflow, prioritize matters with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of in-house experience is required, with technology company experience preferred.
  • Experience with strategic alliances, high-volume complex partner agreements, and partner programs.
  • Working knowledge of privacy and information security legal issues for drafting and negotiating data protection and security agreements.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing, or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
  • Strong business-friendly judgment with an understanding that the legal team supports business growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advocate while staying collaborative and open-minded.
  • Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country where the position is based without visa sponsorship.
