Description

  • Define and execute Square's partnership strategy with the global ISV community.
  • Recruit ISVs, resellers, and other channel partners as the primary focus of the role.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and partnership agreements with channel partners.
  • Lead deal execution from prospecting and business case development through structuring, closing, and launch.
  • Identify, prioritize, and meet with potential partners to build the channel pipeline.
  • Drive distribution of Square's products through channel partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Legal.
  • Own the business results and performance of partnership initiatives.
  • Support partnership launches and ongoing growth across the channel ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience signing, launching, and growing distribution partnerships with ISO's, ISV's, and VAR's.
  • Track record of driving measurable new customer acquisition and revenue growth through partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of partner operating models, including introduction, onboarding, compliance, and contracts.
  • Understanding of integrated payments and POS software interactions; ability to troubleshoot technical issues is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to demonstrate return on investment for partner initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional, global initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Background in fintech or payments industry preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
