Description

  • Lead and mentor multiple multidisciplinary software engineering teams.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Build integrations with third-party APIs and tools.
  • Support existing systems to enhance functionality, increase scale, and adapt to product demands.
  • Maintain the project’s technical vision and keep it current for the team.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile, global environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and manage sophisticated tools, services, and data pipelines for marketplace capabilities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones and help team members stay challenged, engaged, and growing.
  • Collaborate with front-end teams on RESTful services, payloads, mocks, and HTTP best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in software engineering and people management is mandatory.
  • Experience managing and mentoring multiple multidisciplinary teams of software engineers.
  • Experience architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications.
  • Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, or C++; Golang is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams across countries and cultures.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly in English when speaking to groups.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic workflows (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) (nice to have).
