Description

  • Manage and develop a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers across EMEA and North America.
  • Provide regular feedback, career coaching, and growth support to team members.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to improve customers’ observability collection experience.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to integrate Ingest products into Grafana Cloud’s end-to-end user experience.
  • Guide projects from ideation and planning through execution and post-launch improvement.
  • Promote psychological safety, experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate across teams and functions to solve customer problems and contribute to broader projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with observability, particularly OpenTelemetry, or with central control planes managing fleets of collectors is preferred.
  • Experience leading autonomous engineering teams and supporting technical and product decision-making.
  • Strong relationship-management and people-leadership skills, with up-to-date technical knowledge.
  • Experience collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and improve team performance.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to ground technical decisions in user needs.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
  • Curiosity and comfort using AI-powered development tools, ideally with practical experience integrating them into team workflows.
  • Candidates must be located in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the UK.
