Description

  • Provide strategic leadership across marketing and communications initiatives to align with the organization’s mission, revenue goals, and brand identity.
  • Develop and execute a growth marketing strategy that increases revenue and brand awareness by reaching new audiences.
  • Own the marketing technology stack and use analytics to generate insights that improve donor acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage the marketing budget and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities within a nonprofit budget.
  • Pull, clean, and interpret data from market research, ad platforms, social platforms, CRM tools, and other sources to identify growth opportunities and optimize campaigns.
  • Design and execute A/B tests across email subject lines, landing pages, and social ad creative to improve ROI.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure with the operations team to track marketing KPIs across campaigns, channels, and audiences.
  • Develop segmented audience journeys and lead-generation, nurture, and email marketing strategies to improve acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Direct the creation and distribution of multi-format content, including copy, email, social content, graphics, and short-form video, using vendors and, when needed, personal execution.
  • Work closely with fundraising and other internal stakeholders to create donor communications, collateral, and brand-consistent messaging.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with growth experience in nonprofit organizations, startups, social impact, or social entrepreneurship.
  • Demonstrated experience testing growth strategies with new audiences and designing experiments that support continuous learning.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive growth.
  • Experience optimizing websites and content for SEO and AI-driven search experiences, including keyword strategy, content structuring, and discoverability best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing workflows and automation tools such as HubSpot, Lovable, Claude, Jasper, Canva, Adobe Express, Asana, and ChatGPT.
  • Experience managing agency partners and budgets.
  • Hands-on experience building marketing dashboards and reports, including pulling, cleaning, and structuring data yourself.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, Webflow, Zapier, Classy, Sendible, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Looker Studio or similar reporting tools.
  • Passion for VOW for Girls’ mission and commitment to gender equality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an asynchronous, remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person team gatherings.
  • Must have the right to work in your location before your first day.

  • Salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
