Description

  • Source, develop, and close deals with local governments in selected U.S. states.
  • Identify, win, and manage small pilots and initial deployments that can expand into larger rollouts.
  • Manage a pipeline of longer, higher-value, and complex sales cycles.
  • Forecast monthly and quarterly new business performance.
  • Deliver a strong client journey and buying experience from first contact through close.
  • Prepare and present demos, pitches, and responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Represent VivaCity at seminars, trade shows, and other marketing events.
  • Share market feedback and customer observations to inform strategy and the product roadmap.
  • Build trusted relationships with city stakeholders, including transportation departments and related agencies.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO, product managers, engineers, and UK/international teams on opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of new business sales experience in the U.S., preferably in a technology environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience selling into government agencies at the federal, state, or local level.
  • Strong pipeline management and CRM hygiene with consistent focus on hitting targets at every stage of the funnel.
  • Excellent client engagement, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and transport.
  • Ability to work effectively in a forward-thinking environment that uses advanced AI tools.
  • Based on the U.S. East Coast, within the Northeast corridor.
  • Strong resilience, adaptability, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with AI, telemetry, or SaaS sales is a plus.
  • Experience with RFPs and tenders is a plus.
  • Background in the built environment, urban design, or transport is a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary of $100,000-$140,000 plus commission.
  • On-target earnings of $200,000-$260,000.
  • Remote role based on the East Coast of the U.S.
  • Marketing and lead generation support.
  • Comprehensive onboarding in product, sales methodology, and sales operations.
  • Company immersion in the UK and international markets, including a visit to the manufacturing facility and a tour with the UK installation team.
