Description

  • Develop sales activities with new commercial customers and expand existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Build a sales pipeline through proactive outreach and conversion of sales conversations into qualified prospects.
  • Work with regional sales teams and Systems Engineers to advance opportunities, qualify needs, and deliver product demonstrations.
  • Close business with Veeam partners in a tier-two model and leverage partner-generated business with end users and customers.
  • Meet individual and team revenue targets.
  • Drive account strategies and coordinate team-selling efforts with Sales Development Reps, Channel Partner Managers, Marketing, Sales Engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Execute territory plans to maximize revenue.
  • Enter forecasting and account/opportunity information into Salesforce.
  • Engage with Strategic Alliance partners to create mutually beneficial revenue opportunities.
  • Propose, coordinate, and participate in territory marketing activities.
  • Travel up to 75% within the assigned territory/region.

Requirements

  • Must reside in or around the NYC metro area.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience selling software through channels and to end users.
  • Experience in business-to-business selling with a consultative sales approach.
  • Experience selling within the SLED vertical and demonstrated closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of large distributors and value-added resellers (VARs) is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of the virtualization industry.
  • Knowledge of solution selling and value-based selling techniques.
  • Experience with different sales methodologies and CRM systems; Salesforce knowledge is required.
  • Microsoft Office experience is required, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
